BSc (Hons) Psychology

Our BPS-accredited Psychology BSc degree covers the full breadth of the field of psychology. We believe that you should examine all of the various approaches and interests before choosing an area in which to specialise.
Accreditation: Our BSc and MSci Psychology programmes are accredited by the British Psychological Society (www.bps.org.uk) as conferring eligibility for Graduate Membership of the Society with the Graduate Basis for Registration.

Year abroad options: We have excellent year abroad options. You can apply to take a year abroad between your second and third year, to expand your horizons and develop your skills and experiences in a global environment. If you take this option, you will transfer to the Bsc Psychology with Year Abroad programme and then graduate with a BSc Psychology with Year Abroad.

TOEFL 88 overall with no less than 21 in Reading, 20 in Listening, 22 in Speaking and 21 in Writing. IELTS 6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in any band.

AAA if one of the following subjects are being taken: Chemistry, Biology/Human Biology, Physics, Psychology, Mathematics/Further Mathematics or Statistics. A*AA if no science subjects are being taken.

Specified subjects excluded for entry: We do not accept General Studies, Critical Studies, Critical Thinking, Science in Society, World Development, Communication and Culture, Citizenship Studies and Use of Maths.

BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma D*D*D in Applied Psychology, Applied Human Biology or Applied Science, plus a grade A at A Level.
BTEC Level 3 National Diploma D*D* in Applied Psychology, Applied Human Biology or Applied Science, plus a grade A at A Level.
BTEC National Extended Certificate D* in Applied Psychology, Applied Human Biology or Applied Science, plus a grade AA at A Level.

International Baccalaureate Diploma 2023 entry: 7, 6, 6 to 6, 6, 6 in Higher level subjects plus 32 points overall. Higher level subjects need to include the required subjects as defined for the A-level qualification, where applicable.
