Submit certified academic transcripts, including degree statements for all university-level work.
Submit certified English translations of the transcript and degree statement. Consideration of an application cannot be given until the Office of Admissions receives ALL required credentials.
Master's: Applicants will have earned a baccalaureate degree in art history, or a closely related area, from an accredited U.S. institution or a comparable degree from an international institution. Reading knowledge of at least one foreign language relevant to your research area is required. The GRE exam is not required.
A written statement of purpose explaining why you are pursuing our graduate program. This is the space to share your interest in studying with faculty at the University of Florida. Please address the following: what research area of Art History interests you, what intellectual issues you find compelling, what experience you have that will inform your academic goals, and how earning this degree will help you reach those goals.
A section to electronically request THREE (3) required letters of recommendation from faculty or professionals who can speak to your ability to be successful in a graduate program.
You will need to allow time for recommenders to receive and respond to the University request, so complete and submit your entire application as quickly as possible. More information and directions are provided as you complete the online application.

A section to upload r'sum or curriculum vitae - Pursuant to Florida Statute, your application requires inclusion of all post-high school education and employment, as well as information about ongoing international affiliations and research funding. Please ensure this information is included on your curriculum vitae (CV) or r'sum.
An academic writing sample as an attachment to your online application. If unable to upload to your online application, save the document as a PDF and email to graduate@arts.ufl.edu.
This is an academic paper (midterm, final, honors paper, or thesis), a published article, or a paper presented at a conference.
A GPA calculator that requires you to enter the grades earned in the upper-division courses (junior/senior years), read the directions carefully to complete this section.
A section to upload unofficial transcripts. For the purpose of initial review, the Office of Admissions accepts unofficial, scanned copies of transcripts (not screenshots of grades).
Applicants with a bachelor's degree only, a minimum grade point average of B (3.0), calculated from all grades and credits after the semester where the applicant reached 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours is required. For applicants from countries where English is not the ofcial language, a minimum score on one of these English Language Skills tests, IELTS - 6.0,TOEFL IBT- 80, PBT- 550.
