Students with undergraduate degrees other than engineering will be required to make up deficiencies in basic engineering courses. Students seeking admission to the PhD program should have an MS in engineering, or equivalent qualifications. Exceptionally qualified students with a BS in engineering who do not hold an MS degree may petition for direct admission to the PhD program. A GPA of 3.0 or better in the last four semesters or approximately 60 semester credits (or the equivalent in quarter credits) of work as an undergraduate Official English Proficiency Exam scores are required from non-native English speaking students.
