Bachelor of Science in Science Education - Earth Science

Prepare teachers and other professionals for leadership roles and advocacy in education-related settings, to engage in critical inquiry, to support and promote diversity, social justice and service, and to promote leadership to the profession, our communities, and society in support of student learning and development. Interrelate teaching, research and service. Model reflective practice through our own teaching, research, service and advocacy. Facilitate OU students' learning and professional development at the initial and advanced program levels. Help OU students discern among multiple modes of educational practice, formulate their own philosophical orientations based on scholarly inquiry, and enact approaches consistent with these philosophical perspectives. Produce and disseminate scholarly artifacts through critical inquiry that meet rigorous standards of quality in relevant fields. Admission to the University of Oklahoma is based on completion of a rigorous secondary school curriculum, demonstrated by a recognized certificate of completion that would qualify you for entrance into a university in your country.

Minimum 3.0 GPA

Applicants must submit official transcripts from each institution attended.

Freshman must submit official transcripts from all secondary or middle schools attended. If secondary school in your country includes standardized graduation exams and certificates, official copies of these should be submitted.
All freshman applicants are required to submit one letter of recommendation, two additional letters may be submitted.

Any high school official, including a counselor, teacher, principal, etc. Preferably someone who knows the student well.
Students will need to know the name and email address of their preferred recommender so he/she can be contacted about composing the letter of recommendation.
