Bachelor of Science in Physics (Honours) and Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering

Many of our professors have also been recognized for their teaching and are seen as world-class researchers in their fields of expertise.The research conducted by the professors in the Department of Physics is concentrated in several sub-specialties, including the physics of biological and complex systems, condensed matter physics, photonics and the physics of geomaterials. Depending upon your choice of program, you have the opportunity to take courses and participate in research projects in these specialized areas.
Electrical engineering is at the heart of today's exciting advances in technology. With five technical specializationscommunications, systems, electronics, microwave and photonic, and power and sustainable energyour curriculum will enable you to influence how the world communities communicate, generate sustainable energy and heal diseases. As an electrical engineer, you will work with other engineers or scientists on emerging technologies.
The option of Engineering Management will prepare you with necessary skills to pursue entrepreneurial activities and start your own technology-related business. The double degree programBASc in Electrical Engineering and BSc in Computing Technologywill put you at the intersection of the two areas that propel the waves of technological development.

You must have an Ontario high school diploma with at least six 4U-4M or DU-level courses to be eligible for admission to the first year of university. Please note:

All the courses that are prerequisites for your chosen program must be 4U-level courses, unless otherwise indicated.
We use your top six interim or final grades in 4U, 4M, or DU courses, including the prerequisites for your chosen program, to calculate your admission average. We do not round up your grades.

International baccalaureate diploma
Applicants enrolled in the International Baccalaureatenorth_eastexternal link Diploma program are eligible for admission if they have completed (or are in the process of completing) the full IB program and meet the following conditions:
Have passed six subjects (including the prerequisites for your program of choice) with at least three at the Standard Level and three at the Higher Level.
Have a minimum average of 29 points. The minimum average might be higher depending on the program you have chosen.

IELTS - overall score 6.5 with minimum writing section score 6.5
TOEFL - IBT - Overall Score 86 with writing section score 22.
