Students wishing to study with the University of Tasmania must meet the minimum English language and academic entry requirements. Some courses will have higher requirements for either English language or for previous academic qualifications, and some may require a portfolio of previous work or an interview.
Admission to the university's undergraduate courses requires completion of qualifications equivalent to Year 12 in Australia. Some courses also require the completion of prerequisite subjects. Students who do not meet these requirements may enrol in the foundations studies program.
Entry into a postgraduate course requires the equivalent of a bachelor's degree with the required grades. Work experience may be required or used for alternative entry for some undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
