Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry

UTSA's Biochemistry degree combines coursework from Chemistry, Biology and Physics to support learning across all the major aspects of Biochemistry. Your coursework will include molecular biophysics, cell biology, genetics, a biochemistry laboratory and more. The program grants career opportunities in industry, governmental agencies, environmental studies, pre-professional programs, medical technology, and can serve as a prerequisite to graduate study in either chemistry or other related fields.

Test Scores - SAT/ACT scores are optional for admission consideration. Students who have taken the SAT or ACT are encouraged to submit their scores directly from the testing agency.
Essay - If you are to be considered for admission through holistic review, submission of essay A on ApplyTexas or any open prompt on Common App is highly encouraged.
Letters of Recommendation - If you are to be considered for admission through holistic review, two letters of recommendations are highly encouraged.
Education - Possess equivalent of a U.S. high school diploma
GPA - Minimum 2.5 GPA (4.0 scale)

TOEFL Internet-Based Test (IBT) - 79 or greater
TOEFL Paper-Based Test (PBT) - 550 or greater
IELTS - 6.5 or greater
