When it comes to preparing for a future career, there is no place quite like Tasmania. As well as enjoying a great lifestyle and hands-on, industry-focused learning, students will also get to immerse themselves in one of the world's most spectacular natural environments.
With vibrant cities, beaches, snowfields and spectacular National Parks, Tasmania is a place where students can hear themselves think and learn beyond the classroom. The whole island serves as the students' campus.
Campus facilities include a wealth of specialised learning spaces with a focus on practical and authentic learning. The Australian Maritime College boasts cutting-edge shipping simulators and naval design labs. Nursing students learn in realistic, high-tech simulated hospital wards. And the HIT Lab lets students explore the latest human-computer interface technology.
Through field trips, work placements, and a sustainability program, many of the university's courses also let students take their studies out into Tasmania's great outdoors, and into industry-specific settings.
These real-world experiences make students more employable and job-ready, while also giving them the chance to engage with a welcoming community. Plus, students will have a distinctive and unforgettable Australian experience.
Students can choose from an excellent selection of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. All are highly rated, and the university is particularly acclaimed for the excellence of its agricultural science, nursing, oceanography, and law programs.
