Book an IELTS test

To register for IELTS Academic & General Training, IELTS Life Skills or IELTS UKVI at IDP Vietnam, please choose to either book online below or register directly at IDP’s registration offices.Notice: Please bring your original Identification Document or Passport along when registering at physical offices.

IELTS Test Online Registration at IDP Vietnam

The registration process is summarized as follows:

• Visit: https://bxsearch.ielts.idp.com/wizard/test-type

• Select IELTS certificate type

• Select IELTS test format (Note: With the paper-based test, you will not be able to achieve the maximum score and the single skill retest (OSR) feature, so you should consider taking the test on computer).

• Select the location where you want to register for the IELTS test

• Check and choose a suitable IELTS test date.

• Log in or register for a new account (if you do not have one)

• Fill in all personal information as instructed and pay the test fee by credit card or transfer to IDP's bank account.

• After the candidate successfully registers and pays the test fee, the candidate will receive a successful test registration confirmation email within 3 working days

Notes for IELTS Test Registration at IDP Vietnam

1. How often are IELTS tests conducted?

Paper-based IELTS tests are conducted 3-4 times per month in Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces.
Computer-delivered IELTS tests are conducted up to 6 days per week, twice per day.

2. IELTS Test Fees

• Paper-based IELTS tests (Academic & General Training): 4.664.000 VND

• Computer-delivered IELTS tests

  (Academic & General Training): 4.664.000 VND

• IELTS UKVI: 5.252.000 VNĐ

• IELTS Life Skills 4.414.000 VNĐ

Application period with 8% VAT from 01/07/2023 to 30/06/2025.

Printing additional Test Report Form sent to schools/organizations: 200.000 VND/copy

Changing the test date: 800.000 VND

Re-marking regular IELTS tests: 2.268.000 VND

Re-marking IELTS UKVI tests: 2.800.000 VND

3. Locations for IELTS tests

The IELTS test are held regularly in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang. The test location must ensure facilities according to the provisions of Circular 11 of the Ministry of Education and Training, as well as the international standards of the IELTS test globally.

Candidates will be notified of the location of the Writing test as soon as they register for the test (if the location has been determined). The time and location of the Speaking test will be announced at the official test date or candidates will be notified of the time and location via the Test Report Card, email or phone.

4. What do I need to bring into the test room?

Candidates are allowed to bring only their Original Identification Document or Passport (which was used to register).

IDP reserves the right to check and prohibit candidates from bringing suspicious objects into the test room.

5. What should I not bring to an IELTS test day?

• Mobile phones

• Personal belongings

• All electronic devices

Notice:

• Candidates are not recommended to bring any valuable items along on the IELTS test day as they must be left out of the test room and IDP does not take responsibility for any losses.

• Candidates using devices to copy tests’ contents or bring test materials out of the test room on purpose will be disqualified and the case will be reported to the authority.

6. Other important notes

• Test schedule is subject to changes depending on the number of candidates registering and the locations.

• Written tests (Listening, Reading, Writing) are conducted in the mornings (9 a.m - 12 p.m) of the official test date.

• The Speaking test is conducted on the official test date or within one week before/after the official test date.

• In case candidates do not receive any information about the time and location, please contact nearest IDP offices to confirm successful registration.
